Crochet Stripy Sock Puppy
I started this puppy on Memorial Day weekend driving home from Hayward, WI. He is made with 100% cotton. An amigurumi pattern from Lilleliis here.
A bit about Stripy, aka Bark
He is a happy little puppy and likes summer and being outside. When he is not outside he likes to look out the window and wait for his chance to go out.
He likes to smell the grass.
But his favorite thing to do is to sit amongst the flowers and absorb their color energy through his stripes. So far he has absorbed so much green it made is nose turn green.
He can't understand why the girls don't like him??? He doesn't care, because he loves himself too much to let his unpopularity with the twins get him down.

Sunny with a chance of Hexi
My second english paper piecing completed. It is a minimalist representation of a spider, in case you can't tell. Amy encouraged us to be creative with the second block and this is what I came up with. I'm not sure how it is going to fit in with my cowboy theme, but I guess spiders were around since the beginning of time.
Here are some pics of my girls.
Play doh can occupying their attention for a long time.
Hosie the cow is out. I wish the water coming out of the hose wasn't so cold.
A break from play doh to look at a green crawly caterpillar.
I'm wonder if these are monkey dogs? They seem happy enough.
Girls are liking sleeping out in a tent. A test run of two days before our adventure during Memorial Day weekend.
God Bless our Veterans. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

English Paper Piecing Hexi
My English Paper Piecing Hexi Stripe block completed. Surprising to me was how hard it was deciding where the place the hexes, in what order. I think I just got frustrated and started sewing them together and realized it was not in the order I liked, but fixed it by putting different hexes on the bottom of the one I started with. Another surprise was how much I enjoyed hand piecing and hand appliqué.
You can see with the fabric choices why it was hard to decide where to put what. I'm still not happy about putting two reds together. Oh well, no big deal.
I have a feeling I may be a little behind on these blocks. With summer coming the girls need me to be with them outdoors. I am almost done with my next block, better get on it. Until next time, I bid you all adieu!
